On Sunday 10 December, Geocaching NSW hosted its annual Christmas Event in Brooklyn, NSW. A good turnout of geocachers, veterans and newbies, engaged in lively conversations, took part in the traditional mint tin throwing and enjoyed some nice nibbles, coffee and tea.

A highlight was a visit of Santa Claus carrying a well filled bag of goodies for the little ones! There were even lolly bags for the older kids. Ho ho ho!

President, Team Canary, presented this year’s winners of the Geocache of the Year competition . One of the winners, barefootjeff, attended the event and received his prize, of a large ammocan, in pers0n. The other winners will be contacted to see how they can receive their well earned prizes.

This was another successful Geocaching NSW event. We wish all geocachers and their families a merry Christmas and a good and healthy start of 2024.
