Geocaching NSW’s 2022 geocoin pays tribute to recently retired and long serving Australian geocaching reviewer Tiddalik. Riblit (as he was known back then) became Australia’s 3rd geocaching reviewer back in 2004. Over the next 18 years, along with a change of name to Tiddalik, he would go on to publish thousands of caches whilst steadfastly ensuring that geocaching guidelines were being adhered to. Ex reviewer Swampgecko has said “Riblit’s biggest attribute is integrity. There was no compromise without a reason, and it had better be a well reasoned one.”
Geocaching NSW thank Tiddalik for his remarkable 18 years of service to our geocaching community. The 2022 geocoin honours and celebrates Tiddalik’s committment as Australia’s longest serving geocaching reviewer.
The 2022 Geocaching NSW geocoin is beautifully custom designed in the shape of the state of NSW with the association’s logo and mint year on one side and on the reverse, a green frog with indigenous inspired green dot art which utlises an ombre effect. The wording ‘Riblit/Tiddalik 2004-2022, geocaching.com Reviewer acknowledges Tiddalik’s important role in our community. The amazing artwork was done by noisyPitttta.
